About Custom Home Theater & Automation

Custom Home Theater Systems & Automation (CHT) was established in 2002 and has earned the reputation as Maine’s premier source for high-end sound and video systems. As digitization replaces analog models in residential construction, the business has expanded to include whole-house automation, including lighting, locks, HVAC, appliances, and more.

In 2010, CHT was proud to receive the Rising Star award from internationally acclaimed, Transparent Audio. We also received “best retrofit” awards for custom home theater design in 2008, 2010 and 2011 as well as “best home of the year” in 2011.

Personalized Service

We are passionate about creating extraordinary audio and home theater environments for our clients. The process begins with a meeting in which we discuss the project you envision, how you intend to use your system, and your priorities regarding form and function. Paying strict attention to every detail—aesthetics, retrofit concerns, space issues—we will create a customized system that will delight your senses and significantly add to the enjoyment and value of your home. You can count on our expertise to make the best use of your budget. Even a modestly priced system can sound dramatically different if it is optimized for the surrounding acoustics. We ensure ease of use, no matter how many integrated systems your project entails, and we stand by the quality and reliability of every installation.

Every project is important to us and continues to be, long after installation. In a very real sense, your system comes with a professional sound engineer, to ensure its continued performance.

There is no greater endorsement than a satisfied client. We are grateful to those who have provided testimonials.
